GeneroCity

What is GeneroCity?

GeneroCity is an Android app developed in Kotlin using Jetpack Compose, created as part of a project at Sapienza University of Rome. The app can automatically detect when the user has parked and drop a marker on the map at the exact spot where the car was left.

I designed the full UI/UX and developed the entire frontend layer, including the core feature set shown below. Credits for the backend infrastructure (API, database) and the sensor streaming system — that serves as the foundation for the Automatic Parking pipeline — go to Sapienza University, the Gamification Lab, which founded and owns the project, and the students who contributed in previous or parallel development phases.
